Belgisch Netwerk Anna Lindh Stichting

De Anna Lindh Stichting (ALS) werd in 2005 opgericht door de lidstaten van het Euromediterrane Partnerschap (Euromed). Bij de oprichting stelde elke regering in eigen land een coordinator aan om een netwerk uit te bouwen van organisaties uit de burgersamenleving die zich inzetten voor interculturele dialoog, de nationale Anna Lindh Netwerken. De Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken stelde de Koning Boudewijnstichting aan als Belgisch Netwerk Coordinator. De Stichting oefent deze opdracht uit in samenspraak met Buitenlandse Zaken en vertegenwoordigers van de Gemeenschappen. Het Belgische Nationale ALS Netwerk omvat organisaties die actief zijn op het gebied van jeugd, onderwijs, internationale betrekkingen, openbare diensten, mensenrechten, democratie en de genderthematiek.

Op 22 september organiseert het Belgisch netwerk van de ALS een conferentie-debat met André Azoulay, voorzitter van de Anna Lindh Stichting,over de uitdagingen van de interculturele dialoog tussen de landen van het Euromediterrane partnerschap: "De dialoog tussen de culturen in het Middellandse Zeegebied: van ambiguïteit naar legitimiteit: de lange weg van de Anna Lindh Stichting".

ECOPEACE Friends of the Earth Middle East winner of the Euro-Med Award 2010 (27 augustus 2010)

ECOPEACE Friends of the Earth Middle East (ISR/PAL/JOR) has received the majority of the votes of the national network members and therefore is the winner of the Fifth Edition of the Euro-Med Award for Dialogue between Cultures. FoEME is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists.

Anna Lindh Journalist Award 2010 is launched (21 april 2010)

From the 10th of April and until the 10th of July 2010, journalists who are nationals of one of the 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean can participate in the fourth edition of the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award.
